The New Orleans Pelicans and Donatas Motiejunas’ representatives had positive talks on Sunday morning and a deal could be coming soon, according to Shams Charania of the Vertical.
A few weeks prior, the saga between the Lithuanian big man and Houston Rockets found the latter making Motiejunas a restricted free agent.
Motiejunas hasn’t played a game since April 27, in a 114 – 81 playoffs defeat of the Houston Rockets by the Golden State Warriors where he scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He has publicly expressed his need to get back in action with a statement on his twitter account a few days after going RFA status by the Rockets.
