Zach LaVine’s injury in last night’s Minesotta Timberwolves 116 – 108 defeat by the Detroit Pistons was revealed to be extremely serious. The young player has a torn ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season.
The 21-year-old shooting guard, who averaged 18.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3 assists this season, will be operated in a date which is yet to be determined.
With LaVine out, Ricky Rubio’s duties and on-the-floor workload are expected to be seriously increased since there aren’t many quality options in the perimeter for Tom Thibodeau.
