Against the Phoenix Suns, Giannis Antetokounmpo came quite close to scoring 30 points for a third consecutive game. And he probably would have, if he didn’t spend most of the final five minutes sitting at the bench.
Still, his 28 points (with a sublime 11/13 from the field) along with 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 100 – 96 victory, that improved their record to 26 – 31 and maintains their playoffs hopes.
His performance included a slamfest of seven dunks. Dominant, right?

“We played hard defensively, we ran and moved the ball offensively,” he said after the game.
Mike Beasley added 17 points, Malcolm Brogdon 15 plus 7 assists, Greg Monroe 14 and 8 rebounds while Tony Snell pitched in 13, including the downtown basket that sealed his team’s win with eight seconds to go.
The Bucks were previously up by nine, 86 – 95 with 2:24 to go but the Suns rallied to make it a one-possession game down the stretch. TJ Warren had 23 points and 5 rebounds for the Phoenix squad while Alan Williams posted a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds.
As for Ukrainian Alex Len, he finished with 6 points and 9 rebounds.
