The Golden State Warriors officially announced that Kevin Durant suffered a Grade 2 Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL) sprain and a tibial bone bruise, during last night’s game against the Washington Wizards.
Durant was injured after teammate Zaza Pachulia fell on his knee early in the match, following a foul by Marcin Gortat of the Wizards.
The 28-year-old forward will be out of action indefinitely and his situation will be re-evaluated in four weeks. It’s possible that he will be eligible to play before the end of the regular season.
This news arrived as a big relief for the Warriors since there were fears that Durant might miss the remainder of the whole season.
