After escaping with a 97-96 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, the Bucks are a surprising 11-5 since Jabari Parker got hurt and they sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. Six players scored in double figures for the Bucks, led by 16 points apiece from Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak also had 5 rebounds, 5 assists and one block, while Bosnian Mirza Teletovic scored 11 points.
Meanwhile Slovenian Goran Dragic scored 33 points, Hassan Whiteside had 20 points and 17 rebounds, and the Heat beat the New Orleans Pelicans 120-112 for their 22nd win in 27 games. The Heat (33-35) are tied with Detroit for the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot, with the Pistons having the tie breaker. French big man Alexis Ajinca had 4 points for the losing side.
In the West, Damian Lillard scored 36 points and the Trail Blazers defeated the San Antonio Spurs 110-106, spoiling LaMarcus Aldridge’s return from a health scare. The Spurs are back in the second place behind the Warriors after this result with Pau Gasol having 12 points and 5 rebounds for the losing side, while Jusuf Nurkic had 16 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals for the winners.
