Rodriguez’s contract with the Philadelphia 76ers ends on June 30 and the Spanish point guard wants his second tenure in the NBA to continue for the next season.
“It’s not something that I obsess over,” Rodriguez said during an event of Bridgestone, for which he serves as an ambassador. “For now I want to rest and then work on some things that I haven’t been able to do. My desire is to continue in the NBA, but there will be time to talk about the contract”
Apart from expressing his content with how the season went, he also spoke highly of the talent and potential that the 76ers carry. “This year has been very positive. It has been a new experience. I am happy with how the season went. The team has potential and was better than expected after the previous year. It’s a shame that all these injuries happened, but this is a young team with a future.”
