Kyle Lowry had already mentioned his plans to opt out of his contract and join the free agency and now this decision has become official, as his agency, ASM Sports, announced.
The 31-year-old point guard had seven days from the last game of his team to execute the option in his contract with the Toronto Raptors, something which he did today (12/5), before the deadline expired on Sunday.
Lowry averaged 22.4 points, 7 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game in 2016/2017.
