Frank Ntilikina was definitely a game-winning factor for Strasbourg in Game 5 of the French League semifinals and now everyone is waiting to see what might have in store for the Finals.
In the 29 minutes he spent on the floor, he posted 10 points (on 5/10 shots), three assists, three rebounds, stole the ball twice (including a huge interception in crunch time) and committed zero turnovers.
But perhaps his most notable feat was completely shutting down Casper Ware, (among ASVEL’s most dangerous players) forcing him to only four points and 0/5 from the field. A showcase of his notable defensive abilities and a key aspect of Strasbourg’s triumph that completed a comeback after being down 0-2 in the series.
While his teammates are going to take some rest before the Finals vs Elan Chalon that begin next Tuesday (June 13) he’s going to make an express round-trip to the USA for the mandatory medicals ahead of the NBA Draft (June 22).
“It was the biggest game of Frank Ntilikina who will leave tomorrow for the medical examination ahead of the NBA Draft”, Strasbourg head coach Vincent Collet said after the game.
The 18-year-old guard will be back just on time for the first clash against Elan Chalon.
Ntilikina is the highest projected European player of the NBA Draft, expected to be picked among the Top 15.
