Rodions Kurucs was projected as a first-round pick in the upcoming NBA Draft (29th spot in the Draft Express mock draft) but decided to withdraw his participation.
The news were announced by his agent on Twitter.
The 19-year-old Latvian player will thus stay in Barcelona at least for the next season and he’s expected to clinch spot in the active roster of the senior team.
Barcelona considers him a major asset and plans to provide him with the necessary opportunities to show his talent in EuroLeague and Liga Endesa, which can improve him as a player and subsequently increase his value in the 2018 Draft.
