Utah Jazz‘s General Manager, Dennis Lindsey, told the Salt Lake Tribune that the team will not go into rebuilding mode after losing Gordon Hayward in free agency, instead their main focus will be Rudy Gobert.
“We feel like we can build defensively around Rudy Gobert,” Lindsey mentioned. “We look at him, and he’s a top-10 player and unique defender. So we want to build a team around his talents.”
Jazz has made key moves this summer, by signing Ekpe Udoh, Thabo Sefolosha and Jonas Jerebko.
“People are going to be surprised by how we do this year,” was Gobert’s comment on Saturday. “We just have to keep getting better.”
