While in Crete, Greece where he’s watching the efforts of his country’s U20 national team in the European Championship, the German forward/center from signed his two-year contract with the Celtics and officially joined the club and the NBA for the first time in his career.
Theis finished the season with German club Brose Bamberg averaging 9.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in EuroLeague. He’s the second European big guy the Celtics signed during offseason, the other being Croatian Ante Zizic.
