According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Kyrie is more than willing to sign an extension if he were to be traded to San Antonio.
The Spurs, were one of Irving’s preferred destinations when he handed in his trade request but the odds are slim since San Antonio does not have the assets to make Cleveland a tempting offer.
The Cavs, seemed focused on trying to trade for a premium talent such as Kristaps Porzingis as a return for their all-star point guard.
Even Boston has expressed interest in Kyrie and while they do have the young assets to make Cleveland the right offer it does seem unlikely that the two top contenders in the Eastern Conference will strike a deal.
