Well, to be honest, it’s kinda not surprising that Kevin Durant is the latest entry in the…. “Milos Teodosic fan club”. He has witnessed his magic first hand after all.
When asked to comment on the renovated L.A. Clippers during ‘The Bill Simmons Podcast”, KD began talking with sheer amazement about the Serbian guard and how the latter impressed him with his dime-dropping skills during last year’s Olympic Games.
“Teodosic…I can’t wait to see him play. He made the greatest pass I’ve ever seen in my life last summer. We was all like ‘How the hell did you see that?’ He was running towards to the sideline and flicked around his head through two people on a dime, and he was at the 3-point line…with his right hand. It kind of faked me out. I spinned in a circle. I was like ‘that’s the greatest pass I’ve ever seen…from anybody.’ Best pass I’ve ever seen. So I’m excited to see how he plays.
You could tell that at some point everybody there needed some new life and energy. Whether it was somebody leaving or somebody bringing in another big player, they needed new energy. And you can sense that now with the Clippers, especially with Doc just being the head coach now. I think that’s going to be good for them.”
The 2017 NBA champion and Finals MVP faced Milos Teodosic twice in the Olympic Games. The first match was near-upset for Serbia over USA for the Group Phase, where Milos had 18 points and 6 assists. The second match was the tournament’s Final (a blowout win for USA) during which he finished with 9 points.
In case you are wondering about the pass KD is talking about, it’s this “holy cow” assist:
