Russell Westbrook agreed to a five-year, $205 million extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
This is the biggest total contract in NBA history, taking into account Westbrook’s earnings ( $28 million) in the upcoming season, that add for a total salary of $233 million in six years.
2017 MVP Westbrook comes from an unprecedently prolific season, during which he averaged a triple-double by notching 31.4 points, 10.7 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game. He became just the second player ever in the league to average a triple-double in a single season, after Oscar Robertson.
