French wing Nicolas Batum tore his left elbow UCL muscle and will stay out for 8 to 12 weeks as reported by Shams Charania of The Vertical.
The player’s injury comes almost two weeks before the beginning of the new season (October 20) and the best case scenario is that the Charlotte Hornets will have Batum back in early November.
Last summer Batum signed a five-year, 120 million extension with the Hornets. He averaged 15.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.9 assists during the previous season.
Charlotte's Nicolas Batum has suffered a torn ligament in his left elbow and will miss 8-to-12 weeks, league sources tell The Vertical.
