Nikola Mirotic is out indefinitely as a result of a physical altercation with Chicago Bulls teammate Bobby Portis in Tuesday’s (17/10) practice, according to Shams Charania of the Vertical.
Apparently, the fight got heated enough that the Spanish forward got punched by Portis and broke two facial bones.
Mirotic had to be taken to the hospital to undergo tests for a concussion. So far the examinations have shown that he has to be sidelined for now. K.C. Johnson reports that he might be back in a “few weeks”.
The Bulls announced that Mirotic suffered “a concussion and maxillary fractures” and will likely need surgery.
Mirotic is home after going to hospital. He has 2 broken bones in his face and was evaluated for concussion, per source. Punched by Portis.
