The Boston Celtics seemed to have lost all hope when Gordon Hayward went down with a season ending injury. After dropping their fist two games, the Celtics have battled all sorts of adversity winning 12 in a row.
The newest injury involving franchise point-guard, Kyrie Irving seemed to be the “cherry on top” on a very unlucky season.
Yet the Celtics managed to overcome a double-digit deficit against Charlotte on Friday and also managed to beat the Toronto Raptors.
The game was pretty close form start to finish. The Toronto Raptors took a five point lead (49-44) into the half.
Boston kept fighting and won the third quarter 33-16. DeMar DeRozan had a chance to win the game with a jumper but it was off the mark.
Daniel Theis played 17 minutes and had 2 points, 8 rebounds, an assist, a steal and 2 blocks for the winning side
Serge Ibaka (8 p. 6 r.) and Jonas Valanciunas ( 6p. 2 r.) had sub-par performances for the losing side.
