Russel Westbrook was in “beast mode” with 34 points, 10 boards and 9 assists in a 108-91 statement win over the reigning champs

It was a very anticipated game and given the struggles of the new-look OKC “Big Three”, this game certainly meant a lot of Russell Westbrook and the Thunder.

In Durant’s second game in his old home, the atmosphere was electric and the home side clearly fed off it.

The MVP was in “beast mode” and his all-star teammates Paul George (20 p. 11 r.) and Carmelo Anthony (22 p. 5 r.) were hitting shots from the perimeter and OKC went into the locker room up 17 (65-48).

While everyone was waiting  from a comeback from the Dubs, it was obvious that this game meant much more to the home side. The Thunder kept on playing with an extra gear and won this one easily by a final score of 108-91.

This was clearly a statement win for OKC but winning a regular season game and winning a play-off series against the Golden State Warriors are two completely different things.

Alex Abrines had a steal in 6 minutes.

Zaza Pachulia only played 12 minutes and had 2 points and 3 boards while Omri Casspi had 11 points and 6 boards in a loss.
