Matt Barnes announced that he’s retiring from professional basketball after a 14-year career in the NBA, via a post on his Instagram profile.
Barnes was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies in the 2nd round of the 2002 NBA Draft. He was a member of ten NBA teams, including the L.A. Clippers, Sacramento Kings, L.A. Lakers, and the Golden State Warriors.
With the latter, he won the 2017 championship title for the first time in his career.
In his last professional season, Barnes averaged 5.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
