The poor percentages of Milos Teodosic aren’t particularly bothering Doc Rivers at all since he focuses on the notable, game-winning impact his starting point guard brings on the floor.
“He’s played six games,” Rivers said. “There’s no concern there. He’s a great shooter and makes the ones (shots) we need. He’s just so crafty, it’s amazing. His stats look terrible yet he’s been such a big difference.”
Teodosic had some issues sending the ball through the hoop, finishing with 2/9 from the field. Still, he delivered a pretty all-around contribution of 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the L.A. Clippers victory over the Orlando Magic, his team’s second in a row after he returned to action.
The way the Serbian guard influenced his squad’s offense despite the shooting struggles, was all that mattered to his coach.
“He was 0/6 at halftime and he was a +10. I don’t get caught up in shots made or numbers. I get caught up in the production. And he’s producing for us,” Rivers added.
