Kobe Bryant had given the Lakers organization, fan base and the basketball world many memorable nights. Now, ti was time for the opposite.
Aside from all his different accomplishments, Kobe Bryant became the first player in NBA history to have two jerseys retire by the same organization.
While there was ever any doubt that both no. 24 and no.8 were to be retired the process was something special.
Naturally, many players paid respect through twitter.
