In his pre-game comments before his team’s 109 – 97 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, Tuesday (27/12), San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich was asked to comment about the importance of charitable endeavors and why they mean so much to him.
His answer was, as always, pretty straightforward.
“Because we’re rich as hell, and we don’t need it all, and other people need it. Then, you’re an ass if you don’t give it. Pretty simple,” Popovich said, per ESPN.
Popovich has been quite vocal on social issues.He has also included Donald Trump numerous times in his criticism regarding off-the-court matters.
