Over the summer, Darius Miller was among the many EuroLeague players that earned an NBA deal thanks to their performances in the top-tier continental competition.

After spending the two previous seasons playing with Brose Bamberg and averaging 12.2 points (41.1% on threes) in 2016-2017, the 27-year-old forward returned to the league and the New Orleans Pelicans, the same team that had drafted him with the 46th overall pick back in 2012.

In a recent interview with Hoopshype, Miller explained how his stint with the Bavarian team helped him to further develop as a player, crediting the coaching staff of Andrea Trinchieri for his improvement.

Per Hoopshype:

“I had a chance to grow,” Miller told HoopsHype about his time with Brose Bamberg. “I played a lot of minutes on a really good team so it really helped me on and off the court.”

“The coaches did a good job of helping me grow and develop on the court,” Miller told us. “We’d get a lot of practice time over there, so I just took it day by day. That’s something you definitely have to do when you’re that far away from home for so long. You just gotta take it day by day and try to get better every day.”
