Yesterday (8/1), ESPN reported that Nikola Mirotic finds the prospect of playing in the Utah Jazz “intriguing”. Well, where there’s smoke, you’ll usually find fire as well.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the Jazz have been in talks with the Chicago Bulls for a potential trade involving the Spanish forward.
Actually, the discussions are “getting serious”. So don’t be surprised if we see Mirotic pairing up with Spanish national teammate Ricky Rubio in Utah.
Mirotic, 26, has been averaging 17.4 points plus 7 rebounds per game in 25 minutes per game during 17 matches. While there’s a no-trade clause in his contract, he’s willing to waive it and become eligible to be sent to another team after January 15.
