Nikola Vucevic got hurt at the end of the last year against Washington Wizards and will be sidelined for at least 8 weeks more. He discussed his injury with Basketball Sphere: “I started to do drive bicycle in the gym and to run slowly. For now, everything goes according to the plan and I should be back on the court in 8 weeks”.
A few days ago Vucevic took a photo with the famous Brazilan football player, Ronaldo. “You know football (soccer) is not among the most popular sports in USA like NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB. I needed to explain to my teammates that Ronaldo is Jordan or Magic in football. I am a passionate football fan and I was happy to meet football legend like Ronaldo. I gave him a jersey with number 9”, says Vucevic.
It is well-known that Nikola Vucevic is a fan of Crvena Zvezda and he follows them in the Euroleague and ABA.
“I am very proud of the way they play. The season is very hard and difficult so you can’t be the best in every game. When you look at summer Zvezda started the new cycle. They made a new roster, new head coach winning 7 games in Euroleague so far. People were thinking they will win one or two games. I am very happy for the guys in the club and especially for Pero Antic. He is the great guy and true Zvezda fan. I know how much he wanted to come back to the team. He is proof that years mean nothing when you are the quality player like he is.” Vucevic concludes.
