As Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting: “New Orleans is planning to guarantee the $12.5M salary of Mirotic in the 2018-19 season, league sources tell ESPN. That clinched a deal. Omer Asik and a future first-rounder part of a package to Bulls”.
Two days ago, the same trade was called off, however, this time things are different. Turkish center Omer Asik will end up with the Bulls and Spaniard Mirotic will be one of the players who will cover the absence of injured DeMarcus Cousins in the paint of the Pelicans.
Tony Allen and Jameer Nelson are also included in the package deal with the Pelicans sending them to the Bulls.
