New York Knicks center Willy Hernangomez’s trade from the New York Knicks to the Charlotte Hornets is being finalized, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
The Knicks will get Johny O’ Bryant plus two future second-round picks for Hernangomez per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The 23-year-old player’s side had been reported to be asking for a trade these last days since the Spanish big was unsatisfied with his diminished time and “lack of development” in New York.
Hernangomez, the Knicks’ 35th overall pick in the 2015 Draft, has been averaging 4.3 points plus 2.6 rebounds in 9 minutes over 26 games this season.
