Marco Belinelli was fully expected to be traded to a contender before the trade deadline and even though that didn’t happen the former NBA champion was waived by the Atlanta Hawks.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Marco Belinelli has verbally committed to joining the Philadelphia 76ers.
The sharpshooter from Italy is averaging 11.4 points and 1.8 three-pointers per contest.
Guard Marco Belinelli has committed to the Philadelphia 76ers to sign a free agent contract, league sources tell ESPN. Belinelli agreed to a buyout with the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, and can sign with the Sixers upon clearing waivers.
