The Joker broke the NBA record for the fastest triple-double ever and finished the game with 30 points, 17 assists and 15 rebounds. And the Nuggets got the 134-123 win.
The Serb big man became the sixth player in the NBA to register a triple-double with 30+ points, 15+ rebounds and 15+ assists after James Harden, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson and Magic Johnson.
However, the most important number of the game was the 24 made threes of Denver in 40 attempts.
The Greek Freak had 36 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists, his first triple-double of the season and ninth overall in his career, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the Bucks’ franchise leader in triple-doubles. Still, the Bucks couldn’t keep up with Denver’s scoring. The Nuggets closed the last quarter having at least a nine points lead at all times. Spaniard Juancho Hernangomez added two points for the winners.
In the last game before the All-Star break, Minnesota beat the Lakers 119-111.
Croatian big man Ivica Zubac had his best game yet with 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Lakers, while Serb Nemanja Bjelica added two rebounds and three assists for the winners.
