Goran Dragic became the first Slovenian ever to play in the NBA All-Star Game, an honour that he really is thankful for.

The Miami Heat player shared his thoughts during and after the game.

“I was talking to myself; ‘G, don’t shoot an airball, don’t shoot an airball’”, he mentions about taking his first shot in the game, a 19-foot long one.

“The first All-Star game for me in my life, it was an amazing feeling,” said Dragic, who is in his 10th season. “I spent it with my family and I’m honoured to be here.”

Dragic spent this special day along with his family, that visited him all the way from Turkey, where his brother Zoran plays. “My father asked how many people are in the hotel? I said people from all over the world come to see this game. He was really proud and I was proud they were able to come and enjoy this game.”

“It’s really an honour to be the first Slovenian in the All-Star game,” he notes. “For my career, too, this is going to be something that I’m going to tell to my children, my grandchildren… I really am proud of this moment.”
