Add yet another milestone checked for the mighty Dirk Nowitzki.

In last night’s game of the Dallas Mavericks against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Dirk Nowitzki became the sixth player in the history of the NBA to reach 31,000 career points.

The 2011 NBA champion and Finals MVP scored his 31.000th point with one of his trademark fadeaway jumpers. It was a similar manner to the way he also made it to the “30,000” club.

With this bucket, Dirk joined an elite group that also includes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain who is fifth with 31,419 points.

Nowitzki finished the game vs. the Thunder with 12 points, 5 rebounds plus 4 assists but he and the Mavs fell to Russell Westbrook’s (32 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists) company 111-110 in overtime.
