The Houston Rockets routed the New Orleans Pelicans 114-91 for their eighth straight victory. The NBA-leading Rockets improved to 59-14 to overtake the 1993-94 championship team for the most wins in franchise history.
Swiss big man Clint Capela finished the game with 18 points, 16 rebounds, three steals and tied a career-high with six blocks.
Montenegrin Nikola Vucevic had 24 points and 11 rebounds in Orlando’s 105-99 win over Phoenix, against Ukrainian big man Alex Len who scored 15 points. For the winning side, Croatian Mario Hezonja also turned heads with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
The Philadelphia 76ers inched closer to their first playoff berth in six years with a 120-108 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Croatian Dario Saric scored 18 points and Italian Marco Belinelli added 17 as the Sixers (42-30) ensured a winning season.
