After the New York Knicks fired Jeff Hornacek, the Orlando Magic have fired head coach Frank Vogel, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.
The club officially announced that Vogel is dismissed and took to Twitter to thank him for his contributions to the team.
The Orlando Magic finished the season with a 25-57 record, the fifth worst in the NBA and thus missed the playoffs for the sixth straight year.
It is also going to be an interesting upcoming off-season for the Magic, trying to find a coach to replace Vogel, while critical players such as Evan Fournier, Nikola Vucevic, and Aaron Gordon will become free-agents.
