As Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reported, Ty Lawson has signed a deal with the Washington Wizards.
After playing in China for the Shandong Golden Stars, the 30-year old veteran received a letter of clearance after finishing his playoff run in the Chinese Basketball League. Thus, he was allowed to sign with the eighth-seeded Washington Wizards ahead of the playoffs.
The Washington Wizards start their playoff journey in Toronto facing the Raptors and in Game 1 (Saturday (14/04) Ty Lawson will be available for coach Scott Brooks.
In China, Lawson averaged 25.5 points and 6.5 assists per game. For his career, the former Sacramento Kings‘ guard has averaged 12.7 points and 6.0 assists per game.
Ty Lawson has signed with the Washington Wizards, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
