On Thursday (19/04), Real Madrid defeated Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens and tied the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague series 1-1.
Among some other NBA representatives present in the game, Orlando Magic General Manager John Hammond in was also in attendance to scout the game and especially ‘wunderkind’ Luka Doncic. Along with Hammond, Los Angeles Lakers GM Rob Pelinka was in attendance as was Mitch Kupchak, the new GM of the Charlotte Hornets.
Luka Doncic had a quiet game with eight points and five rebounds as he was limited to 26 minutes due to foul trouble.Still, as his coach Pablo Lasso stated, the Slovenian guard controlled the game and made the right plays when needed.
The 19-year-old phenom is expected to declare for the NBA Draft officially, and so these general managers from the NBA wanted to watch him compete at the highest European level up close.
