Real Madrid is set to face Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens for Game 3 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague playoffs.
Ahead of Game 3, Fabien Causeur praised the good performance of Luka Doncic, even though his numbers do not reflect it. “Luka is having a great season. He has not faced injuries and he has been very good. In these series, he has not always played one-on-one when switched to great athletes like Payne or Gist. He is playing for the team which is critical in this series. At home with people supporting, Luka is very comfortable.”
In addition, the 19-year old phenom has officially declared for the 2018 NBA Draft and according to Causeur, Luka is ready and will be great: “Everyone talks about him, being a top-5 pick in the draft. He is ready. I have no doubt that Luka will have a great career in the NBA.”
Finally, Sergio Llull is expected to play in Game 3 of the Real Madrid – Panathinaikos series after missing eight months of action: “It’s very good,” Causeur said. “We’ve seen him every day fighting to return, since his injury. Surely he will help us a lot. It is a very important moment for him as well. We must remain calm and have a cool head, although having a leader like that back in the team is very good.”
