Coming into tonight’s game, Golden State hadn’t lost consecutive games in the playoffs since the 2016 finals but that was set to change.
James Harden was 0-of-11 from three-point range and 5-21 from the field but his teammates came up big in a 98-94 victory.
Eric Gordon led the Rockets in scoring with 24 points while Chris Paul hit timely shots finishing with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists despite hurting his hamstring in the end.
Swiss center, Clint Capela was a force on defense and ended up with a double-double, 12 points and 14 rebounds adding two blocks.
Kevin Durant scored 29 while Steph Curry and Klay Thompson hit 22 and 23 respectively but Golden State was hurt by the absence of Iguodala and turnovers. Georgian big-man Zaza Pachulia did not play in game 5.
The Rockets will try to close out the series in Oakland on Saturday.
