In a strange sequence, during the deciding seconds of regulation, J.R. Smith pulled the ball out as if the Cavs were already ahead instead of taking a shot to potentially win the game.
After George Hill’s missed second free-throw, and with the game tied at 107, Smith showed confusion and may have cost the Cavaliers‘ chance of taking the win.
After the game, J.R.Smith said that he thought his team will call a timeout, however coach Tyron Lue stated that J.R.Smith admitted that he didn’t know the score and thought that his team was leading.
