The Philadelphia 76ers are seriously considering dismissing president of basketball operations and general manager Bryan Colangelo following the “Twitter-gate” with “burner accounts”, according to ESPN.
Some days ago, a report by The Ringer revealed that linked multiple anonymous Twitter accounts that panned Sixers players like Joel Embiid or Markelle Fultz and disclosed sensitive, inside-knowledge information regarding the team, with Colangelo.
On Wednesday (30/5), the Sixers announced that they began an independent investigation on the matter. According to ESPN, there have already been talks between Colangelo and the ownership of the club regarding the possibility that his wife, Barbara Bottini, might be behind the anonymous burner accounts.
