Kawhi Leonard wants out of the San Antonio Spurs, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
Charania also reports that Leonard’s wish to leave the Spurs derives from the player having “grown uncomfortable” with the organization.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Leonard’s top trade destination is Los Angeles and preferably the Lakers.
Leonard’s relationship with the Spurs has been reported to be strained due to the long process involving his rehabilitation following a right quadriceps injury he sustained in Game 1 of the 2017 Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors.
The 2014 Finals MVP and two-time All-Star played only eight matches in 2017-2018, averaging 16.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in 23.3 minutes per game.
