Dallas Mavericks guard Dennis Smith Jr. welcomed Luka Doncic in the team with a quite flattering message on his Twitter profile.
“I’m a fan,” Smith tweeted the moment Doncic was drafted by the Hawks and his trade to the Mavs was reported.

Smith, who was the Dallas Mavericks‘ first-round pick last year, seems quite acquainted with the game of Luka Doncic, his new teammate.
Doncic and Smith are two players that can coexist harmoniously on the court, considering also the fact that the Slovenian rookie has shown that he can perform exceptionally well, paired with an ultra-quick guard next to him, either as a ball-handler or not.
This was obvious in the EuroBasket when Doncic shared the floor with Goran Dragic, and Real Madrid that often featured lineups with Doncic next to Argentinian guard Facu Campazzo or Spanish guard Sergio Llull.
