As Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reported, the Houston Rockets have exercised team option on Aaron Jackson’s contract for the next season. Houston would need to guarantee Jackson’s $1.4M salary in order to involve him in a potential trade.
The 32-year old had played eight years in Europe with Antalya BB (2009-2010), Virtus Bologna (2010), Bilbao Basket (2010-2012), and CSKA Moscow (2012-2017), winning a Turkish Airlines EuroLeague title in 2016.
Also, in 2017 he signed with the Beijing Ducks to play in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Finally, in 2018, he moved to Houston and was part of the Rockets team in the world’s best competition. In that span of time, he managed to play one game in the 2017-2018 season.
