Enes Kanter will exercise his 18.6M player option with the New York Knicks in order to remain with the team also in 2018-2019, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.
The Knicks acquired Kanter prior the beginning of the 2017-2018 via a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Turkish center proceeded to average 14.1 points (on 59% shooting from the field), 11 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. He became a fan favorite quickly not only because of his performance but also from his dedication to the team and his teammates, through various occasions.
The previous season was Kanter’s most productive run since 2014-2015 when he also averaged a double-double with the jersey of the Thunder.
