According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, the Dallas Mavericks will likely re-sign Dirk Nowitzki for next season.
Dallas’ team will utilize remaining $5M in salary cap space, in order to keep Nowitzki. Nowitzki’s $5M team option was declined before the start of the free agency, in order to give the Mavericks flexibility. This flexibility worked, as the Mavs signed DeAndre Jordan to a one-year deal.
So, the Dallas Mavericks will be a team to watch in the 2018-2019 NBA season, as Luka Doncic and DeAndre Jordan are set to make their debuts with the team.
