Alexey Shved had a stunning EuroLeague season and was appointed with the EuroLeague Alphonso Ford Top Scorer award.
The Russian guard has signed the biggest contract in Europe last summer, that is in force until summer of 2020. Said contract has an NBA out option and according to Eurohoops’ confirmed information, Shved feels that his mission in the NBA is not over. That being said, if he receives a proposal that satisfies his needs on a competitive level, he will return to the biggest league in the world.
There is already interest and discussions with two teams from the NBA and after the first ten days of the Free Agency (which started on Sunday), Shved will know more about his possible return.
His good relations with the administration of the Russian club imply that there won’t be any turmoil in case he finally makes the decision to leave for the NBA.
Shved enjoys playing basketball for Khimki, he has an excellent collaboration with coach Georgios Barzokas and has clarified to his agents that he wants to return to the NBA and prove he can stand out there, but that will only happen if a proposal from the US suits his needs.
