Former EuroLeague champion Aaron Jackson has been waived by the Houston Rockets, per Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.
Charania also reports that Jackson is expected to continue his career in China. The 32-year-old American guard played in China in 2017-2018 with the Beijing Ducks, before signing a deal with Houston for the remainder of the season.
Eurohoops sources confirm that the 32-year old will return to China and play another season for the Beijing Ducks.
The Rockets had exercised the team’s option on Jackson on June 29 but, as it turned out, didn’t keep him.
Jackson has spent most of his pro career in Europe where he was particularly successful with CSKA Moscow. With the Russian club, Jackson won the 2016 EuroLeague title and five VTB League titles.
Aaron Jackson will join the Beijing Ducks for one more season. The team has the rights of the player with Euroleague return not being an option. Houston waived Jackson earlier today.
