DJ Stephens informed Le Mans Sathre Basket that he will part ways with the club in order to sign a two-way contract with an NBA franchise.

Although Stephens agreed to stay with Le Mans for the upcoming season, the deal included an opt-out option in case the player found a firm commitment in the NBA until 25th of July.

So far, Stephens tried to make a jump to the NBA multiple times but without success. He played three games with Milwaukee Bucks and in his debut on 29th of March 2014, he scored five points in addition to five rebounds in 12 minutes of play versus Miami Heat.

The 27-years-old played with Memphis in the recent Las Vegas Summer League.
