Chasson Randle and the Washington Wizards agreed to a deal which guarantees the 25-year-old point guard participation in the team’s training camp and a chance to prove himself for a spot on the roster.
Prior to this deal, Randle was in talks with Cedevita Zagreb but the negotiations broke off. There was also interest from Tofas Bursa but the player’s primary goal remained the NBA.
“I turned it over to my agent and let him go to work. He put everything on the table and we looked at my options. It basically came down to signing to play with (Tofas Bursa) in Turkey or taking my shot at an NBA camp. I chose the latter.”, Randle explained during his “Chasson’s Dream Big Youth Camp” at Rock Island High School, per local newspaper Dispatch-Argus.
Randle signed with New York Knicks last season but was waived in September and moved to Real Madrid which went on to become EuroLeague champions.
He has played for the Knicks and the Sixers, but he started his professional career in the Czech Republic back in the 2015-16 season as a member of ČEZ Nymburk.
