Italian forward Danilo Gallinari with 23 points, eight rebounds, and three assists led Team World to the 96-92 win over Team Africa in the 2018 NBA Africa game and won the MVP award of the game.
Gallinari proved to be in great shape after missing most of last season due to injury and set the tone early, scoring 12 points at the first half.
For the losing side, British Luol Deng scored 14 points, Spaniard Serge Ibaka added seven and also the French trio of Evan Fournier (10 p.), Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (16 p.) and Ian Mahinmi (6 p.) also did their part.
Joel Embiid with 24 points and eight rebounds was the star of Team Africa.
