According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, former EuroLeague champion James Nunnally has signed a two-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Nunnally was very close to staying in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague competition by signing a deal with Baskonia but the talks between the two sides broke off. After spending the two previous seasons with Fenerbahce, the American player eventually landed the NBA deal he was looking for during the offseason.
The NBA has been the priority for Nunnally who will join the league for the first time since a brief stint with the Atlanta Hawks and the Philadelphia 76ers in 2013-2014, after making a name for himself as one of the top 3&D players in Europe over the past years.
In 2016, Nunnally was named MVP of the Italian League and then he signed a two-year deal with Fenerbahce. He helped the latter win the EuroLeague in 2017.
The 28-year old finished the previous EuroLeague season with averages of 9.3 points and 2.1 rebounds per game with Fenerbahce. He shot with an exceptional 55.4% (48/91) from the 3-point line.
